Conversation Maps
A Conversation Map is a series of images and metaphors on tabletop display. It serves as a facilitation tool for healthcare professionals to use to engage groups of patients in conversations around a healthcare topic such as diabetes, heart health or obesity. These interactive activities identify facts and myths around the healthcare topic and uncover information on key topics related to the health condition.
Medications
This lecture will increase awareness of combination therapies including oral medications, insulin and other injectable medicines such as Byetta and Symlin. Emphasis is given on educating patients about the action of the medicines and associated side effects - that will help our patients to better control their disease.
Q & A
This class is designed to provide an opportunity for people with diabetes to ask questions on topics related to diabetes self-management.

This lecture provides the tools to incorporate physical
activity into the lives of individuals with diabetes in a safe
and effective way.
Basic nutrition and meal planning
Nutrition is an important aspect of diabetes management.
This lecture will provide the guidelines of meal planning by reviewing
the various foods and their effect in diabetes while encouraging good
nutrition for optimal health.
Support Groups

monthly meetings allow people with diabetes to discuss/share
their experience and get emotional support - an important part
of diabetes management.
